Alan B – Vice Captain

My job is being the Vice Captain of HTHA. This requires me on parade going around ensuring all the lower ranks are doing correct and if there is an area that needs fixing, I do that right away to keep parade seamless. The role also entails good behaviour in and around the Academy such as keeping corridors quiet to maximise success in classrooms.
There is a plethora of things I enjoy at Hull Trinity House the main on being the number of opportunities we are open to by just attending this school such as the new ship simulator which can be used by anyone or the sailing, we get to do for the price of just attending school.
When I leave Trinity, I aim to go to sixth form to complete 3 A-Levels then after that go to get officer training in the Royal Air Force and train to be a successful pilot in this sector after flying I intend to move onto a longer terms job which would be commercial flight. It’s a true passion of mine to be in the air.
My one biggest hobby/interest must be the Air Training Corps (Air Cadets) this has boosted my life so much with my school life opening me to more opportunities than ever and even helping me get the position I have at school today I would recommend for everyone who has passion to join.
For anyone joining Trinity I would recommend trying as hard as you can from the get-go to get a head start making life so much easier later down the line. And I would also recommend behaving and talking to the staff. Trinity is the only school where I have had such amazing teachers to where we could get taught in a way were its fun engaging but also enriching and I don’t think any other school has something like this.
