Mrs L Hearn

Hull Trinity House Academy

Mrs Hearn graduated from the University of York with a BA (combined Hons) in Fine Art and Art History.  Following her degree, she studied for her Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Wales, Cardiff.  Mrs Hearn developed her classroom practice at a large comprehensive school in west London, her leadership skills ensured that she consistently led her department to outstanding practice.  Whilst at her first school, Mrs Hearn was also appointed as a Pilot Officer for the RAF to lead on the cadet force based at the school.

In 2014, she moved back the north with her family and joined Delta Academies Trust as Head of Art.  Mrs Hearn became Director of Art for Delta in 2021 and worked successfully across multiple academies to implement a robust curriculum to improve pupil progress.  Mrs Hearn was appointed as Assistant Principal at Hull Trinity House academy in 2023, her dedication to the academy, its traditions and ensuring success for students in the north is ultimately where her passion lies, and she is relentless in securing this.  Mrs Hearn continues to support other art departments across the trust when required, at Hull Trinity House she is responsible for Personal Development, Pupil Premium and Trinity Traditions, having previously led on SEND.  Mrs Hearn enjoys supporting colleagues to deliver the best quality adaptive teaching to support all learners at Hull Trinity House Academy. As part of the senior leadership team, Mrs Hearn works tirelessly to ensure an excellent quality of education and experience for all at #teamTrinity.
