Mr M Thompson

Mr Thompson graduated from the University of Hull with a BA in Spanish. He then went onto study for his Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Spanish and French.

Mr Thompson started his teaching career in 2012 and his career to date has been in large comprehensive inner-city schools in Hull. He is a Specialist Leader of Education and has used coaching methods to support other schools across the Hull and East Riding. He has worked with Yorkshire Wolds teaching school as a Subject Mentor for MFL. He has worked alongside the East Riding Language Project to raise standards in MFL across the region. His leadership journey started at his previous school where he was appointed as Lead Teacher of MFL (Teaching & Learning). In 2016 he was successfully appointed as Head of MFL, where he improved pupil progress, and implemented a curriculum that achieved outstanding results.

Mr Thompson joined Hull Trinity House in September 2023 as Assistant Principal for Personal Development. He uses his vast amount of experience to ensure we develop responsible, respectful, and active citizens. As part of the senior leadership team, Mr Thompson works to ensure that we have high standards of quality first teaching, behaviour management and leadership to maximise the progress and opportunities for all. #teamtrinity
