  • Goodbye to Mrs Keaney

    Today we say goodbye to our Principal, Mrs Karen Keaney, who after five years as head of the Academy, is leaving to take up a position with the local authority.  Mrs Keaney, who has been with the school for 24 years in total, created a whole new chapter in the long running history of Hull Trinity House School when she was appointed as the first ever female head teacher in 2012.  Her five years at the helm significantly included the school's move from its historic Prince's Dock Street site to a new home in t

  • Canoe Polo Champion

    Well done to Ben Jones for his fantastic result at Canoe Polo.  
    He played for GB Development Under 18’s B Team this weekend at Liverpool International. They won all of their matches taking home the Division 3 Trophy. Ben scored 6 goals during the tournament as well as one in the final which was against the GB Development Under 18’s A Team.

    This year we went on our annual trip with year 8 to Normandy.  We had fabulous weather and the pupils enjoyed an action packed 4 days.  We began with a stop in Honfleur, which is a beautiful seaside town, eating our packed lunches in the park and having a walk round the cafes and shops.  We visited a cider farm this year and had a guided tour of the orchards and the apple presses.  We sampled the apple juice and ate our sandwiches outside in the lovely sunshine.  We visited Mont-Saint –Michel and walked th

    Humberside Police, in conjunction with other Emergency Service and Criminal Justice Partners would like to invite you to a Blue Light Showcase Event which is being held at East Park, Hull on Saturday 15th July 2017.

    Well done to two of our Year 8 students, Thomas Danby and Charlie Soper, that have been selected to attend a week of enrichment lessons for Art through City of Culture.

    It is an amazing opportunity for them both as they will meet with different artists and attend workshops over the course of the week in both Hull College and the Feren's Art Gallery.

  • Sailing on the HMS Pickle

    9th June 2017

    During half term one of our Year 9 student, Mason Wild, sailed on the HMS Pickle, a recreation of Lord Nelson’s famous messenger ship. 

    Among the crew is 14-year-old Mason Wild, from Hull, who has been given time off from his school to sail on Pickle as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Award.

    Mason said: “It’s brilliant. It is a chance you won’t get anywhere else.

    “I’m learning sailing, navigation, cooking and life skills.”

  • Postponement of Sponsored Walk

    Unfortunately, the Academy has been informed that the facilities at Hessle Rugby Club will not be available to us this Friday for our annual sponsored walk.  This is very disappointing as preparations have been put in place and the weather forecast was looking good.  However, this walk cannot go ahead without the amenities that Hessle Rugby Club kindly offer us, particularly the toilet facilities.

    We therefore, have no alternative but to re-arrange this very important date in our diary for Friday 16th June 2

  • French Exchange 2017

    It was with great anticipation that we set off for our annual exchange visit to the South of France.  We were met by our exchange partners in Toulouse in the South of France and started the adventure.  This year’s activities included a visit to the beautiful towns of Albi, Toulouse and the medieval town of Carcassonne.  We had gorgeous sunshine for our hike in the Pyrenees which saw us have our picnic in the stunning setting of Lac d’Oô.  Pupils also attended a morning of school and joined in with some less
