The Disadvantaged Subsidy

The disadvantaged subsidy is funding from the EducationFunding Agency that is allocated to children who:

  • have been eligibly for free school meals at any point in the past 6 years;
  • have been looked after for 1 day or more;
  • are adopted.
  • whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces

The academy uses this funding to provide a wide range of additional support aimed at improving the life chances of these students and we are proud of the impact we had on student outcomes.
